New Business Enquiry
In common with many other practices we are currently operating at near capacity, which unfortunately means that we are having to restrict how much new business we take on. After your initial contact with our team one of the directors will get back to you as soon as possible to let you know if we'll be able to take your enquiry any further.
If we are able to handle your enquiry we'll then make arrangements for your free initial consultation. Most consultations are face to face in our office but we can meet you elsewhere if you are local, via Zoom if you are not, or over the phone if you prefer. During the consultation we will gather information about your business or your proposed business, provide some basic tax and bookkeeping guidance, and tell you about the firm and how we operate. We can also provide details of banks, solicitors, and other professionals that you might need. Finally, we can also combine these consultations with short demos of Xero, as we do these for free as well.
Following the consultation we will usually provide you with a detailed proposal document via email, which will describe the services being offered and itemise the fees for each one, including both both routine and one-off assignments.
If the proposal is accepted, if you have an existing agent we will contact them directly, otherwise we move straight on to onboarding you as a client. Our engagement terms are approved along with the proposal so the remaining tasks consist of an online ID check, which also contains a form to gather personal data (securely), and completing our appointment as agent with HMRC. We will also deal with setting you up for self-assessment if required. We’ll do as much of this online as we can so we can get through the formalities as quickly as possible and get down to the main business: delivering services to you.
