Annual Accounts
The annual business accounts process starts with us requesting your books, although if you’re on Xero we’ll take a look at how up to date things are and when we see you’re ready we’ll just ask for a couple of documents, then we’ll lock the year down and get started.
Once we have gone over the records, produced draft accounts, and reviewed them internally we’ll send a draft to you with a set of queries plus observations about the accounts and also your records. At this stage we can meet or go over the accounts with you remotely, whichever you prefer.
We will then send the final accounts (and the tax return in the case of a limited company) to you for final review and e-signing once you are happy with them. Once you have signed off the accounts we’ll add our own signature and you'll receive a final signed copy for your records. For companies we’ll submit them electronically to Companies House and HMRC.
Finally, we’ll let you have the final adjustments to enter on your system to bring your books into line with the accounts, although if you’re on Xero we’ll do this ourselves and save you the bother.
